Rounds three and four of the Australian Off Road Championships were run over the weekend at Hedley in Victoria’s Gippsland region. In almost ‘talcum powder’ like dusty conditions BCP Off Road Honda rider    Kyron Bacon had an impressive weekend on board his Honda CRF250R earning himself a third place overall on Saturday’s Round 3, then backing it up with an impressive win at Sunday’s Round 4 of the Championship in the J4 Junior 250cc category.

“We were right there in the hunt on Saturday when we had an unfortunate miscalculation with fuel and ran out about 100 metres before the fueling zone,” said Bacon.

“I had to push the bike up a sandy hill before we could get re-fueled and we lost a bunch of time so I was still happy to salvage 3rd on the day. Sunday was a great day for us logging our first win of the series and sticking right there in the championship hunt.”

Bacon’s team mate Baylee Davies had another consistent weekend in the competitive E1 class finishing 7th on both days.

“I really want to be up inside the top 5,” said Davies.

“The class is super competitive this year and we are right on the cusp of moving up a few positions. I’m leaving Hedley healthy and in one piece and looking forward to preparing for rounds 5 and 6.”
