A confidence-boosting win for Victorian rider Tom Bell over the weekend at Traralgon saw the BCP Pro Circuit Honda Junior Development rider take his Honda CRF150R to an impressive overall victory. The 15 year old from Rosebud in Victoria strung together three good consecutive races on the day, finishing with a win in the final moto which was enough to give Bell the overall win at the recent round of the Gippsland Centre Motocross Championships.

Battling with ‘in form’ 85cc racer Michael Murphy the pair swapped the lead many times throughout the day on the extremely rough and technical Traralgon circuit.

“It feels good to get a win on board the 150 and battle hard with Michael,” said Bell.

“I had a really good start to the season back in January with a bunch of good results and it is good to finally feel like I’m getting back to where I should be. The bike worked really well on the fast, sweeping track and I’m really excited to carry this momentum into upcoming races. Tim Vare from Eight11Racing has our bikes flying and handling awesome so a huge thank you has to go his way.”

Team manager Lee Hogan is happy with Bell’s win on the weekend.

“We’re really happy for Tom to get this win under his belt,” said Hogan.

“He is such a talented rider and certainly knows how to twist the throttle. For Tom he just needs to believe in himself and keep putting in the work. The rest will look after itself.”

Tom Bell will join his BCP Pro Circuit Honda team-mates Taj Marshall and Trent Collins as they chase overall victory at the final round of the Victorian State Motocross Championships in Mildura on the 11th and 12th June.
