Young Western Australian prodigy Seth Shackleton has impressed greatly over the weekend at Gillman’s Round 5 of the Pro MX Championship with an outstanding 4th place finish in Moto 1 of the competitive MX3 class on board his BCP Honda CRF250R! Shackleton started the race in a strong 2nd place where he would stay for a good portion of the moto!

“After my holeshot in the mud at Wodonga and riding a bit over my head I felt a little more settled this time round,” commented Shackleton.
“I was feeling really good for a couple of laps until Jake (Cannon) and Cambell (Williams) latched onto the back of me and I really tightened up. Once they got past I managed to get back into a bit of a rhythm and I’m so happy with my first top 5 in a moto.”

A mid pack start in moto 2 saw the Honda Junior Team rider battle his way up to an eventual 13th place, giving him his first ever top 10 overall finish for the day in 8th place!

“It’s a great feeling to get my first top 10 overall and with a slightly better start in moto 2 I feel I may have been able to push for a top 5 overall today,” commented Shackleton.
“The whole team have been working really well together and I’d like to say a huge thank you to my family, sponsors and supporters! And a big thank you to Jy Roberts and his family for their ongoing support! I can’t wait for the remaining rounds and continue chipping away!”

The next round of the Pro MX Championship will be held at Toowoomba in Qld June 25th!
