Western Australian 15 year old young gun Leah Rimbas has earned herself an emphatic victory over the weekend as the family travelled to Queensland for Round 1 of the Go Girls series in Roma just North West of Brisbane!
The BCP HAS Honda Junior Development Team rider had a weekend to remember winning all 4 of her Junior Girls class events contested over the Saturday and Sunday, while also winning the overall in the boys class.
“We’ve been travelling across to Queensland quite a bit this year for some of the bigger races,” said Leah.
“It was great to have my sister Makayla over racing as well with us both going first and second in the Junior Girls class.”
“The bike is working so good and it great every time we get to have a gate drop.”
Team manager Lee Hogan believes the junior program for girls in our sport is extremely important!
“Leah has been on a rampage so far this year,” said Hogan.
“I’m not sure she’s dropped a moto so far to be honest. She’s such a hard charger and really seems to have gelled with the Honda since hopping on late last year!”
“We couldn’t be happier as a team and I’m just so stoked with our girls program that has seen Tanesha Harnett, Madi Healey and Darcy Whalley all have a successful 2 year stint each with us and now Leah has really grabbed the ball and ran with it in 2024!”
Leah Rimbas along with sister Makayla Rimbas will stay in Queensland for this weekend’s Sunshine State Series round held in Toowoomba!
