In what was her first major outing for 2023 Darci Whalley has dominated proceedings at Round 1 of the NSW State MX Championships held at Moree over the weekend. With two motos held on both Saturday and Sunday Whalley put on an impressive display of riding winning all four motos over the weekend!

“It’s really good to finally tick off our first proper race for the season,” said Whalley.
“We started the season with some real good momentum winning some local races in Queensland and I was feeling like I’d had a big step forward from 2022 with my riding. But unfortunately I had a big crash and suffered a concussion and its only been in recent weeks that I’ve started to feel myself again. It’s all part of the journey and I look forward to now bumping up our training in preparation for the National Junior MX Titles coming up in Darwin mid July.”

Whalley will be hoping to improve on her impressive 3rd place overall at last year’s National Junior MX Titles held at Rockhampton in Queensland in the competitive Junior Girls category!

“Darci is such a hard worker and to be honest is a little too hard on herself,” said Team Manager Lee Hogan.
“This win is just what she needed to gain confidence heading into the mid part of the season,” continued Hogan.
“I’m looking forward to spending the week with her alongside her team mates Seth Shackleton and Hixson McInnes as they chase National Championships up in Darwin come July.”

The National Junior MX Titles will be held at the Acacia Hills MX Track in Darwin, NT from the 11th to the 16th July 2023.
