BCP Honda ‘Off Road’ Team riders Kyron Bacon and Baylee Davies have continued to gain momentum over the weekend as both riders extended their championship points lead at the ‘Baker’s Beach’ round of the Tasmanian Off Road Series in North West Tasmania.

Kyron Bacon continued his unbeaten streak of wins by winning all three events on Saturday, while backing it up with another three wins on Sunday on board his Honda BCP CRF250R.

“We had some crazy weather over the weekend and the track ended up quite muddy,” said Bacon. “But I felt really comfortable out there!”

“We’ve got some good momentum going in this early stage of the season but I’m just really looking forward to the next round of the AORC now. I’ve been working my butt off to try to improve in a few key areas and we’ve got the bike working even better now.”

Bacon’s team-mate Baylee Davies started the weekend on Saturday with a solid victory in the premiere Ironman category, making it two wins from two rounds for the Honda rider. However a small crash, followed by a big get-off in the closing stages meant that Davies had to settle for third place on the podium for Sunday’s Round 3 of the series.

“It’s a bit disappointing to drop back to third in the race on Sunday, but I’m happy that we still extended the championship lead overall,” said Davies.

“The bike is working really well out there and we are all set to go for the next round of the AORC.”
