Rider’s Announced for the new look ‘BCP Pro Circuit Honda’ Junior Development Team
Young talent fills the rider line-up of the all-new BCP Pro Circuit Honda Junior Development Team in its inaugural 2015 race season. The Factory Honda Junior race team consists of three riders including former National Junior MX Champion Taj Marshall, Jai Constantinou and Morgan Fogarty.
All three riders will contest Australia’s major National events along with their chosen state championship races.
14 year old Taj Marshall will represent the team on the 2015 Honda CRF250R where he hopes to better his result of 4th in this year’s 13-14 years 250cc national championship.
“I have to say I’m so pumped to be a part of this new, exciting team,” said Taj.
“It has been a couple of years since I won my last National Junior Championship and I miss that feeling. I believe we have a really good shot at getting back up to the top step of the podium this year.”
Victorian gun junior racer Jai Constantinou will step up to the 15 year old age bracket for 2015 and tackle three classes on board Honda’s 250cc and 150cc four strokes along with a Honda 125cc sourced straight out of America. Jai was a revelation during the 2014 season with dominating mid season wins, only to see a wrist injury drop him from first to third in the 85cc state championships while ruling him out of the National Junior Championships where he was one of the hot favourites.
“I was really disappointed to have to finish the season with an injury after the run we had going but to not only get my first factory team ride but to be riding under my long time coach and mentor Lee Hogan is just a dream come true,” said Constantinou.
Morgan Fogarty makes the move across to the BCP Pro Circuit Honda team after a long stint with another manufacturer. The gun 85cc rider had impressive rides in the Victorian state titles and National Junior Championships this year and will focus mainly on Honda’s competitive CRF 150R for 2015 while also competing on the CRF 250R.
“I raced the Honda 150R a few years ago and I really like riding those things. The team have already developed an amazing 150R for me which we have done extensive testing on and this thing is really impressive. I can’t wait to get the season started,” said Morgan Fogarty.
The lineup will see three riders contesting nationally for six potential championships in separate classes. Team Manager and Director of BCP coaching Lee Hogan along with Development manager and race mechanic Tim Vare from Eight11 racing have been working together for months now piecing the team together including riders and team sponsors.
“It has been nearly six months already just to get to this point,” said Lee Hogan.
We have some great sponsors supporting us but the belief from Honda for us to successfully run and coordinate this is where it all started.”
“We have some really good testing and developing procedures in place for both the riders and their bikes that will see us in good stead by the time the race season gets underway.”
The race team bikes will have Eight11 Racing doing all engine and suspension development with Pro Circuit providing bolt on performance parts to enhance the race bikes. Mountain Shade will provide the team with professional tents/awnings keeping the race team presented well at the events while Panic Industries will supply all graphics and logos for the bikes. All BCP race-team and coaching bikes will exclusively use Fuchs Silkolene Lubricants only.
Official Team Sponsors also include: Fox Racing, Dunlop Tyres, ODI handlebars and grips, Topline seatcovers, Hinson Clutches, Bicycles Inc, ARC levers, Rockwell Watches, RedInk Printing, EZE hubs and triple clamps, Xtrig bar mounts, Excell rims, Tokyomods, Splitstream, Raptor Footpegs, Vortex Ignitions, EK Chains, AFAM sprockets and RecMX.
