It was a weekend to remember for young Off Road rising star Kyron Bacon as he put his ‘BCP Honda Off Road Team’ CRF250R up on the top step of the podium in both Saturday’s Round 5 and Sunday’s Round 6 of the Australian Off Road Championships. The young gun from Tasmania topped the tables in the competitive J4 Junior class on both days with comfortable wins at the Dungog, NSW event.

“We really had a dream run this weekend,” said Bacon.

“We’ve been competitive all season and won a round earlier in the year, but this was something special. I’m so happy with how I’m riding and how the bike is going! I’ve been doing a lot of riding with Matt Phillips back home in Tasmania lately and we’ve been working on a couple of little things on the bike that have really made a big difference.”

BCP Pro Circuit Honda Junior Development Team MX racer Tanesha Harnett is having the season of her young career, having just wrapped up an undefeated Victorian Junior State MX Title campaign winning 12 races from 12 starts, and is doing likewise this year in the off roads. Harnett dominated proceedings once again over the weekend at the NSW State Off Road Championships and is currently undefeated for the season in the Junior Women’s Off Roads.

“I’m starting to get the hang of these Off Roads,” joked Harnett after her win at the weekend.

“I’m just really enjoying riding my Honda 250, no matter whether it be MX or Off Roads. I’m just trying to keep on top of things and enjoy the ride,”

Baylee Davies had some highs and lows over the weekend participating in the competitive E1 class on board his BCP Off Road Honda CRF250R but still managed to salvage a sixth place at Saturday’s Round 5 of the Australian Off Road Championships and an 8th place on Sunday for Round 6.

“It was a tough weekend at the office for us,” said Davies.

“I had a big practice crash at home in Tasmania a week ago and I was really feeling it out there. I’m looking forward to getting back to 100% healthy again and trying to nudge into that top 5.”
