BCP Yoshimura Honda Junior Development Team rider Darci Whalleyfinds herself in the drivers seat this weekend for the upcoming final round of the Victorian Junior MX Titles. Set to be hosted in Gippsland near the town of Korumburra, the Outtrim circuit has all the makings to deliver a fitting final round of the series!
After rounds one and two of the championship being held at Wodonga and Horsham, Whalley has won four out of the five races contested and holds down a strong 9 point lead in the Championship hunt.

“I’m really looking forward to the final round this weekend,” said Whalley.
“With my home town being near Gladstone on Queensland’s Central Coast we have definitely driven some kilometres to be able to contest the Vic titles, but the racing has been awesome and I love the tracks down there. Hopefully we can have a successful weekend and then set our sights on the upcoming National Junior MX Titles in Rockhampton.”

Whalley’s team mate Hixson McInneshas made a return to form recently after sustaining a sternum injury, bruising his heart in the process and will line up this weekend in the A grade 250cc class.

“It feels good to be back on the bike and finally starting to get back on top of my health,” said McInnes.
“I’m looking forward to getting some good starts and hopefully put the Honda up on the box.”

Team manager Lee Hoganwill be on hand over the weekend to help the young Factory Honda Junior Team riders!

“I love being at the races and the adrenaline that comes along with it,” said Hogan.
“Darci has been super impressive throughout this championship campaign so far and we’re hoping her hard work and dedication will pay off this weekend at the final round as she’s tries to wrap up the championship. I know she has her sights already set on the National Junior Titles and she’ll use this weekend as a good platform to build on. Hixson has had a tough run over the last month or two with back to back injuries but he’s a warrior and refuses to give in. I’m really looking forward to seeing what this weekend brings for us.”

Darci Whalley will participate Saturday in the Junior Girls category while Hixson McInnes will race Sunday in the A grade Junior boys class.
