Welcome return to racing for BCP Honda’s Morgan Fogarty

BCP Pro Circuit Honda Junior Development rider Morgan Fogarty will return to racing this weekend for Wonthaggi’s round of the Gippsland Centre Championships after being sidelined with a fractured tibia (lower leg) some 10 weeks ago.

The kid from Kinglake in country Victoria was on fire during the early stages of 2015 winning all three races that he had entered on board his Honda CRF150R.

“I can’t really explain how frustrating it was to have to sit out those couple of months when all I wanted to do was ride and race,” said Fogarty.

“The bike, the team and myself were gelling really well together and every time I threw my leg over the bike I was having a ball and we were getting the job done. I’ve only been back on the bike for a week now but my leg feels strong and I’ll use this weekend as some good race practice going into the next round of the Vic titles. And who knows, maybe I can keep this run of wins going.”

Morgan Fogarty’s BCP Pro Circuit Honda Junior team-mates Taj Marshall and Jai Constantinou will also contest this weekend’s race day at Wonthaggi on board their team CRF250R machines where the boys hope to keep their run of good results going.

“I’ve been really impressed with all three of our boys this year,” said team manager Lee Hogan.

“All three have had solid wins with both Taj and Morgan having three wins each which is great, but I’m ecstatic with how much the boys have improved as racers and athletes since coming on board the team. And having Tim Vare from Eight11 Racing doing all the engine and suspension development along with taking on board a mentoring role for the boys has been one of the big keys to their improvement.”

After the completion of this weekend’s Gippsland Centre Round at Wonthaggi, the BCP Pro Circuit Honda Junior Development Team will set their sights on Round 3 of the Vic Junior State MX Titles to be held at the Cobram MCC on the 13th and 14th June.
